Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as when you create an account, make a purchase, contact us for support, or use the optional registration-assisted vehicle lookup. This may include name, email address, phone number, vehicle information, registration plate and state or territory, and payment details (processed securely by our payment partners).
We also collect information automatically when you use our website, including IP address, browser type, pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring URLs.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to process transactions and send related information including purchase confirmations and invoices; send promotional communications (with your consent); respond to your comments and questions; identify a vehicle for fitment; and improve our products and services.
Vehicle details are used only for the services you request, including product fitment recommendations, saved vehicle profiles and authorised dealer handoffs.
Registration-assisted vehicle lookup
If you choose the optional rego lookup, the registration plate and state or territory you enter are sent securely to our contracted Australian vehicle-data provider (currently the Blue Flag platform) to retrieve NEVDIS-sourced vehicle details. The lookup is used to prefill or narrow the existing Tough Dog kit finder; it does not replace the remaining vehicle, accessory and constant-load questions.
The Tough Dog app does not add the raw registration plate, VIN, chassis number or engine number to your profile or saved build. Only the returned make, model, build year or month and broad vehicle type are used to help map the vehicle to a verified selector pathway. The manual vehicle selector remains available if you prefer not to use rego lookup.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure, or access.
Your Rights
Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), you have the right to access personal information we hold about you, and to correct that information if it is inaccurate. To make a request, contact us at enquiry@4waysuspension.com.au.
