Spring questions
Not always. If your springs are in good condition and at the correct height, new shocks alone can make a significant difference. However, for the best result — especially if you are lifting the vehicle — we recommend fitting matched springs and shocks together.
Lift heights vary by vehicle and spring selection. Most Tough Dog coil springs are available in standard replacement and lifted options of +30mm to +50mm. Check the fitment guide or ask your dealer for your specific application.
Yes. Tough Dog leaf springs are load-rated and designed to handle towing loads. For heavy towing applications, we recommend our HD leaf spring kits — and pairing with an Air Assist kit for additional load support.
