Air Assist questions
Air assist kits provide additional suspension support when your vehicle is loaded or towing. They prevent rear sag and help maintain ride height and steering geometry under load — improving safety and comfort.
Bellows and coil insert kits are designed to have minimal effect when deflated or unloaded. The wireless kits allow you to quickly adjust pressure for different loading conditions.
The coil insert kits are straightforward DIY. Bellows kits require some mechanical ability. We recommend the wireless compressor kit is professionally installed by an authorised Tough Dog dealer.
Compatibility depends on the exact vehicle and approved GVM upgrade. Ask the installing dealer to confirm the proposed air assist kit against the application’s approval and installation requirements before fitting it.
